Focus of the course
Introduction to entrepreneurship focuses on contemporary social and economic reality of businesses.
Key objectives of the course are to help students understand the basic concepts related to entrepreneurship and innovation, to develop important business skills and activities and to enrich their knowledge by analyzing important aspects of business in order to provide a significant knowledge basis for their professional careers.
Since entrepreneurship is a key pillar of competitiveness, the section focuses on issues relating to greek and international business operation, the role of innovation and Small Business Enterprises (SMEs), start - up businesses, business models, e-business, financial statements analysis and the different forms of entrepreneurship.
Upon successful completion of the module, students will be able to develop:
- The ability to identify and evaluate business opportunities and business ideas
- Business concept and strategic planning
- Analysis and processing of data and information
- Understanding of economic progress and their implications.
